J. Gregory Wharton, AIA Architect / Philosopher
Gregory is an architect in the Seattle area. He has designed and managed several high-profile projects both in the USA and abroad. He received his B.Arch. from Washington State University. Since leaving school, he has worked for NBBJ, LMN Architects, and Demetriou & Associates, all in the Seattle area. He has also served as Chairman of the Capitol Hill (Seattle) Urban Planning Committee. In 1998, he started his own office, Axiom Architecture, to put his architectural theories into practice.
Gregory has also been an Objectivist philosopher since the late 1980s, and has published articles on various subjects in that field (aesthetics, epistemology, quotidian ethics, etc.) He is currently developing a theory of objective aesthetics, and is writing a book on architectural criticism and design methodology
